February 9, 20224 yr I'm a fairly active user of the original NAS services provided by Unraid. One of the things I will often do is to upload several large video files and then go to the GUI and click on mover in order to push these files off my Cache drive (SSD) into the array so they are protected. What I have noticed is that manual execution of mover never completes but the scheduled daily mover (3am) always completes. Not a huge deal but sometimes the value of the data is high and leaving this data unprotected even for only hours was my motivation to "move" early. Any thoughts....?
February 9, 20224 yr Enable mover logging, replicate the issue, look through the syslog and see if it gives some clues. Make sure to turn off mover logging when not needed.
