Existing drive showing up as new drive after SATA cable failure

Featured Replies

Hi guys, one of my drives stopped showing up in my array but thankfully the drive is fine after replacing the sata cable. The problem is that the same drive is now showing up as a new device in Unraid and its also showing replacement drive installed. Is there any way to restore the array without doing an array rebuild. Thanks

I just never needed to upgrade after running it for almost 4 years, should I update now? Here are the screenshotsimage.thumb.png.628ef2e4a3a894d9a4a85a833f01c444.pngimage.thumb.png.162ec188173e47c0e506c595599a43ca.png

According to syslog, emulated disk2 mounted. SMART for disk2 looks fine.

Rebuild is the correct thing to do now.

Ok, thank you, I guess that is the only option now
