April 28, 201115 yr I'm thinking about making the jump to the 5.0 "Stable" beta. I'd like to back up my /boot directory first, so what's the best way to do this? I tried a 'cp -a /boot /mnt/user/Backup', and doing a 'du -hs' on that folder was about 100 MB less than the /boot on the root of the drive. Now I just tar'd the folder through 'mc', but still want to make sure I do it correctly. Thanks.
April 28, 201115 yr I just make a copy of the "flash" share it on my mac, using finder I have rolled back to a previous version without any issues. Once the USB is bootable the contents are just files afaik.
April 28, 201115 yr Author I'll see how it looks through Finder, thanks. Also, O/T, but can you point me to the thread that explains how to mount your Mac drives on boot? And best way to configure NFS? Maybe the NFS is in one of the guides, or will general NFS commands suffice?
April 29, 201115 yr Author OK, I upgraded to unRAID 5.0b6a and have implemented AFP for my Mac user name. I know people have done this for NFS, is there a recommended way to mount the AFP shares as boot on OS X? Thanks
