I'm a noob and this is my first build using 4.7 Pro. Decided to try the ASRock board with cheap AMD. It really works great. I'm not sure if this is enough for a Level 1 cert, but I decided to submit.

I've been running this config for about a week and I get ~40 MB/s write with a parity drive.

 

Took about 27 hours to preclear two Hitachis and ~6 hours to complete initial parity.

 

I have written over 1.5 TB and it's working well so far.

thanks for confirming this motherboard works with unraid ...

was thinking of making a second unraid with this board since i have a hard time getting a norco or 5 in 3 cages here in Thailand (all tooooooo expensive)

now that i know it is compatible i might jump to this idea ...

I'd like to know if you get around to test a sata adapter in the 16x pcie slot.

Being a noob, I just read the FAQ and realized that I needed to have at least 3 drives to satisfy Level 1. I have 4 disks now and things are still going well except for a mistaken move of files to the top level of the share which blew up the user shares.

 

Also, I'm running 2 Samsung F4 drives with the updated firmware and all seems great.
