Unraid SMB share to Win10 - I want to write to all folders, but i can write to only some.

Featured Replies

I have a Unraid share folder called "data" that I view and use from a Windows 10 PC.  Until yesterday I could write (delete files) in ALL subfolders in "data".  But today, i can only write to some of the subfolders.  On the others I get a Windows dialog "You require permissions from TOWER/nobody to make changes to this file."  How can I fix this so I can write (delete) from all subfolders?

Is this a public share?

It was a public share at the time of the problem.  So I tried secure share and same problem.

I think maybe a few files got messed up while being used by an app, or some kind of glitch.  I was able to delete the files using Krusader and all seems to be OK again.
