how to change nic to e1000 for VM?

After many failed attempts I finally got solaris 11 installed.  Now I need an e1000 to get this VM on the network.  How do I change the nic type?

    Sorry to stump you guys with such a hard one.  I edited the template and changed virtio to e1000.  heh
