HDD Drop and State Read Errors

Featured Replies

So it seems that my unraid at random times just put disk 1 and disk 3 in a disable state stating it found read errors.

Event: Fix Common Problems
Subject: Errors have been found with your server (Borg).
Description: Investigate at Settings / User Utilities / Fix Common Problems
Importance: alert

* **disk1 (ST6000VN001-2BB186_ZR12WG1J) is disabled**
* **disk3 (ST6000VN0033-2EE110_ZADAN61C) is disabled**

It seems  to happen over night. Just a little more info. These drives are brand new and they are on a Asus TRX40 Extreme Alpha motherboard in the ASmedia Sata ports. I do have a LSI BroadCom SAS 9300 card I am going to move them too once I receive the cables today. I am having a feeling it is the Sata controller. Smart Extended Tests Passed. I have enclosed the System Diagnostics.

Diags are after rebooting so we can't see what happened, SMART looks mostly fine for both disks.

I will make sure to grab again if they fail.
