harleywastaken
anyone? seems like i crushed my unRAID with SF i'm seeing the same simpleFeatures.ini issue until i save some settings - at that point almost everything is normal, just missing settings icons for folder caching/stats as far as i can tell. i have the files in /boot/extra though as they're .tgz's; from what i gather /boot/config/plugins is for .plg's. i did get the bad download when booting, though. i just upgraded to rc8a two days before as the last two nights i'd come home my unRAID was powered off; the and a new parity sync seem to have me back to normal (plus setting up sab/sick/etc using plugins rather than the manual install i had on my cache drive). due to that i haven't had time for troubleshooting these seemingly minor issues with sf... perhaps after my new 3TB drive gets here later this week. BetaQuasi
I get the bad download when booting as well - it's as if the NIC isn't up when it tries to download, which is odd... In any case, I just manually installed each plugin from the console - i.e. leave each plugin file in /boot/config/plugins, ssh/telnet in and use: installplg simpleFeatures-whatever.plg Link to comment
Glo8al
I also had to do a manual install of the plugins, using telnet and installplg. All seems to be working now. Link to comment
Frank1940
AS I recall from a discussion earlier that there is a race condition that SOMETIMES occurs between the initialization of the NIC and the plug-in installation process that causes the downloads of plugin software to fail. The solution is to do the install manually ONE time. This will download the files and then the install on the next restart will proceed without a problems since the files are already on the flashdrive. Reason for Edit: SOMETIMES was SOMETHINGS Link to comment
int13h
Or you can use the anetwait.plg plugin in Influencer's repository. https://github.com/Influencer/UNplugged/blob/master/anetwait.plg This plug-in is used to work around an issue where your network does not come up before plug-ins are installed, leading to "BAD DOWNLOADS". spants
Note: cache_dirs keeps my drives spinning all of the time - (cmd line or plugin version). I have 6GB ram installed with 7 drives. I cant exclude directories either. Unraid 5.0 rc8a. Also, I am having problems getting unraid stats to show the graph. It worked on the older non-plugin version of simple features v1. It will show the historic figures though - it just doesnt seem to log any new ones. Link to comment

RockDawg
I am running unRAID as a VM in ESXi and I am having some problems with SimpleFeatures. I've run SF on a couple other systems for some time and never had any problems. So I'm wondering if it's because I'm running on ESXi. My problems: 1. When the array is up and running and I press the Stop button, SF tells me that it has detected an unclean shutdown. If I reboot, unRAID starts fine and a parity sync does not start so the shut down was clean. 2. SF does not show the duration of a parity sync. It says "Duration unavailable (system reboot)", but I never rebooted after the parity sync. 3. SF does not show the average speed of the parity sync like I remember it used to. 4. When entering the Logs module, it just hangs until Chrome asks if I want to kill the page. It never loads and is uasable. I have tried uninstalling SF (incuding simpleFeatrue.cfg) and reinstalling it, but it didn't help. Link to comment

HOWEVER I happened to notice my box had negotiated down at 100mb instead of 1000mb. I popped the wire and it renegotiated at 1000mb and now the network is blank. Might help in the troubleshooting.
