installed PlexMediaServer-0.9.7.7 went fine

after starting plex the main SF gui is no longer responding

samba/nfs/alternate web server/plex all working fine

checking:

root@Tower:/boot# ps aux | grep emhttp | grep -v grep

root    24511  0.2  0.0  12016  1504 ?        Sl  12:33  0:17 /usr/local/sbin/emhttp

so emhttp is running

free -m says total 8105  used  2932 free 5172 - free should be much lower, no?

just got an email saying unraid is fine, so that's working, too

Hi

Stupid question time, how do i manually spin up / down individual disks in the new version, sure I'm going blind?

Check in "Display Settings" in the settings page.

Its official shit in the eyes thought I looked in there many thanks for answering an obvious question.

Right-click an image and store it in the /boot/plugins/simpleFeatures folder.

You need to reboot to make the change effective.

I copied these icons over and rebooted, but still have the default icons.  I tried clearing the browser cache and tried with both IE and then Chrome.

Any idea?

Has anyone got these icons to show up?

Yes, I have.  I used Firefox but believe that the process should be the same with any browser.  I right-clicked on the each icon and selected "Save Image as...".  I then navigated to the  /boot/plugins/simpleFeatures folder and saved the file there.  Repeat eight more times.  Of course you do have to reboot the server and perhaps clear your Windows browser cache.

If you are still having an issue, double click on the .png files and see what you see.  You should see the new icons.

PS:  You can do it right from the icons in the quote box above...

Edit:  I should make clear that '/boot/plugins/simpleFeatures' folder is where you go if the flash drive is still plugged into your server.  If you have shut the server down, removed the flash drive and plugged it into your PC, you should copy the files to 'plugins\simpleFeatures' folder.  If this is your initial install of 1.0.11 version of simple features, you might have to create the 'simpleFeatures' directory if it doesn't exist inside the 'plugins' folder.

Ok, figured it out.  When I selected each icon and did a Save Picture As... it saved the files with underscores instead of periods.  With IE9, it saved them as "simpleFeatures_activity_monitor.png"  instead of simpleFeatures.activity.monitor.png.  I renamed and copied them again.  I didn't reboot yet cuz we are watching a movie, but I'm sure it will work now.

Update: icons all good after the reboot - very nice!

Well the upgrade hasn't gone smoothly for me so far (coming from 1.05 fresh install). Dumped most of the plugins into the plugins folder and I couldn't get unraid to respond on //tower, I could get it on putty though. Rebooted and didn't respond over the network at all. Moved the plugins out of the plugins folder and booted and accessed //tower without any problems. Sorry didn't get any logs, though there might be one.... Anyhow, started to install the plugins manually and ran into this.

root@Tower:~# installplg /boot/config/plugins/simpleFeatures.system.info-1.0.10-noarch-1.plg
installing plugin: simpleFeatures.system.info-1.0.10-noarch-1

Warning: unlink(/boot/plugins/simpleFeatures/simpleFeatures.system.info-1.0.10-i486-1.txz): No such file or directory in /usr/local/sbin/installplg on line 70

I got that for stats and temp also. Active streams, activity monitor, cache dirs, core, disk health, email and log all installed fine.

wait for what? For unraid to boot? If so then yes I did, I had to hook up a monitor to my unraid server to reboot it because I couldn't access it over the lan. Just rebooted again after having manually installed the packages I listed above and I can't access unraid via the web browser. And my user shares disappeared, only the disk shares are visible. I can telnet into nope problem, which is good so I can remove the plugin and reboot. I'm going to revert back to 1.0.5 or live without simplefeature for now. This is a bit more then a mirror glitch. (Went back to stock, i.e. no simple features, and everything is back to normal)

Got a log this time but its late and its too big to attach so I'll have to host it somewhere tomorrow. (I know about pastebin but don't have an account to delete my log after) It's crazy the file limit is 192kb! Can't even attach a txt file....  ???

Not sure if this is an issue with this plugin. I am unable to manually start the mover script to transfer everything off my cache drive. Also, my cache drive completely filled up despite having a min free space of 5gigs set. Ill have to investigate that issue.

Can anyone else confirm this issue?

Preclearing my new 4TB right now and loving the fact that the main screen now shows the status of it ! I could not find how to start it off so I did that from screen manually.

Got a small heartattach looking at the speed the gui reboots for the preclear, it is steadily at 15MB/s, when look in screen however it is at 50 to 80 MB/s which is what I would expect with what I am doing with the system at the moment, but that looks like a small error. The reported percentage is correct. It would also be nice if the temperature of the disk would be shown, since the disk is stressed during preclear and quite possibly is also in a location a disk has never been in it would be sensible to keep an eye on temperature.

Something else I notice: I don't know what happened but as far as the gui was concerned my disks would allmost never spin down, and after a (manual) spin down they would spin ip within the minute.. Since the new version allmost all my disks show spun down... I am wondering if this was a gui glitch in the previous version where disks were actually spun down but did not show it or something else.. But it makes me happy.. !

No Temperature reporting on either of my AMD systems.  Output for sensors -u below:

System referred to as "Media Server":

root@Elsie1:~# sensors -u
k10temp-pci-00c3
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1:
  temp1_input: 26.375
  temp1_max: 70.000

System referred to as "Test Bed:

root@Tower:~# sensors -u
No sensors found!
Make sure you loaded all the kernel drivers you need.
Try sensors-detect to find out which these are.
root@Tower:~# sensors-detect
-bash: /usr/sbin/sensors-detect: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
root@Tower:~#

This 'Test Bed' system is built on very old hardware and  that hardware may not even support the reporting (or even the measurement) of temperature.  I thought I would report as it might be useful to implement code to prevent the continuous probing of the system as it does result on-screen error messages on a connected monitor.

manual Mover script worked for me too, although it sseems a little slow but that could be due to lots of small music files.

thanks for the responses. I just noticed that the /mnt/user0 directory is missing. My shares are set to use the cache drive so I am totally confused on why this is the case.
