optiman
good idea, remove all SF, directories, config files and then download SF zip again (it was updated a couple days after it was released, not sure you got the updated version). IMO - I would go back RC11, which is the offical current RC. If RC11a was the current one, there would be a thread with that title in the Announcement section and the RC11 thread would no longer be the active one. You would have go read through the thread again, but 11a was specific for just a couple of users who had specific issues. Link to comment
Sccrluk9
Just wanted to say this is an amazing plugin. Is there any reason I would need to keep unMenu also installed? Just a quick browse through it seems like I get everything and more with SF. Also for those that want to get rid of one of the last 'default' icons (the disk health) I made this Just rename to "simpleFeatures.disk.health" on save Edit: One possible bug I noticed. With the email notification on I am receiving emails correctly but I am also getting updates about the array spun down. I have this option to "No" under "Setup Email". Link to comment

Well, opinions are like ( o ) 's so I'm sure everyone will have one. I used and really liked unmenu, but decided to stick with SF. With this recent upgrade, it's webgui is just awsome. About the only thing I miss from unmenu is that it would list packages and if you selected them, it would go download and even install them. That part is missing in SF. That said, you just have to find the packages you want, then drop them in the appropriate folder. See my sig for other plugins I use. From what I've read, there is no reason you can't use both. I just decided that SF with a few other packages/ plugins gets it down for me. Thanks for the icon, color icons are so much better. I would vote this icon (along with the other color icons) be added to the core SF zip file. Link to comment
xamindar
preclear package has been removed per the script author's request.... Myk An explanation from Joe L would be nice. That's why I was confused about the file not being able to download. Personally I don't see why it's a problem to have it included with Simple Features but I didn't write it either so I guess if the creator doesn't like it then that's a good enough reason. Myk I hope it wasn't because of any bugs or issues running preclear from SF as I'm currently clearing disks with it now. I personally have found this a great and easy way of running preclear and getting status updates. Link to comment

When I select Health tab, then see Disk Health, it still shows the b&w heart icon. I have "Section Icons" set to YES and I've cleared my cache. Tried with both ei9 and chrome. I also noticed that there are other icons I can't find in the webgui, like the "webgui" icon itself. Is there a place I have to enable these that I missed somewhere? I've already looked under SF settings and Display Settings. Another topic, what is the best way to get a full Smart health report for a specific disk? I'm about to replace a one of two smaller drives and I want to see the total hours so I can remove the one with the most. Thanks! Link to comment
madburg
Just noticed this error, not sure exactly how to proceed since I'm a linux n00b Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. The selection icons you are looking at are pulled from the .txz files. I am using the icon to replace the 'disk' images on the health page, though I do want to change the black and white heart like you. If you want to change the disk images with 7zip do "Open Archive" on "simpleFeatures.disk.health-1.0.11-i486-1.txz" then just copy and replace the icon here: "\simpleFeatures.disk.health-1.0.11-i486-1.txz\simpleFeatures.disk.health-1.0.11-i486-1.tar\usr\local\emhttp\plugins\simpleFeatures.diskHealth\images\disk.png" If you want to change the black and white heart that icon is here: "\simpleFeatures.disk.health-1.0.11-i486-1.txz\simpleFeatures.disk.health-1.0.11-i486-1.tar\usr\local\emhttp\plugins\simpleFeatures\icons\disk_health.png" Keep in mind the head would need to be resized. I am not exactly sure where the WebGUI.png or the simpleFeatures.disk.health.png are being displayed at. Link to comment
johnodon
Pretty sure that this is not an issue but I'm not sure if it is an expected result... I just added a brand new drive to the array and it is completely empty. When I click the folder icon for it to see contents of the drive, the following error is produced: Index of /mnt/disk7 Warning: array_fill(): Number of elements must be positive in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/indexer/Browse.php on line 25 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/indexer/Browse.php on line 40 Warning: array_multisort(): Argument #5 is expected to be an array or a sort flag in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/indexer/Browse.php on line 44 Type Name Size Last Modified Parent Directory Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/indexer/Browse.php on line 178 I'm pretty sure that this does not happen in the default GUI. BTW...my CPU and MB temps are also reported as 32F all the time. John Link to comment
MyKroFt
Also for those that want to get rid of one of the last 'default' icons (the disk health) I made this Just rename to "simpleFeatures.disk.health" on save I can't get this icon to show up. Thanks! simpleFeatures.disk.health.png in /boot/plugins/simpleFeatures Myk Link to comment
MyKroFt
ok, I have a couple of display problems with the latest SF - this happens in both my FF and Chrome browsers.... 1st, Disk Stats (screen1.png) - displays fine, but if I go to System Stats, and then back to Disk Stats, the bottom is cut off right after the flash drive line (screen2.png). If I reload the page, the bottom will display again time after time until I display the System Stats then its cutoff again. 2nd, after a time frame I have not been able to track down yet - I get a flat line on my network in System Stats, it never comes back to life unless I reboot, and then eventually it will disappear again. now 3rd? Which I think #2 is related to #1, but if you look at system stats pane and compare to the disk stats pane where the bottom is cut off, they are the same height, but a correct disk stats pane is taller than the system stats pane so something is shortening the graphic after displaying system stats I think.... Thanks Myk Link to comment
ggal625
Please consider including openssl-solibs with your email notify plugin. Without this patch the 0.9.8 versions of libssl and libcrypto get deleted, then both wget and emhttpd fail to run due to missing shared object. I pulled this fix from the openvpn plugin. drawz
Temp shows up as blank for me also on RC11/SF1.0.11. As an aside, System Profiler->Processor Info incorrectly lists the current/maximum speed of this CPU as 1500/2200MHz respectively. Looking at proc/cpuinfo, the correct info 800/1500MHz is there. Not sure if this is SF related... Link to comment
ogi
Just noticed this error, not sure exactly how to proceed since I'm a linux n00b Warning: strftime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Los_Angeles' for 'PST/-8.0/no DST' instead in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 41 Sat Feb 23 11:08:56 2013 PST Changes from 5.0-rc10 to 5.0-rc11 --------------------------------- ... - emhttp: default timeZone "America/Los_Angeles" (eliminate first-boot error message) ... Default set by Tom now when first setting up unRAID as none was set previously. Once you bring up unRAID for the first time you should then go ahead and set up time zone, etc... so this should go away. Perhaps the solution would be to set the time zone, THEN put on SimpleFeatures. Link to comment
madburg
@ogi, sure. its no big thing, something one would want to do when first setting up unRAID. I would not add a bunch of plugins to my flash drive for the very first boot... Link to comment
TheDragon
preclear package has been removed per the script author's request.... Myk An explanation from Joe L would be nice. I believe he also wrote the cache dirs script, I assume he wants that removed as well? I still see the preclear package in the download. .... Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2 the plugin might still be avail, but the program download is no longer avail that the plugin looks for.... Myk I hope it wasn't because of any bugs or issues running preclear from SF as I'm currently clearing disks with it now. I personally have found this a great and easy way of running preclear and getting status updates. Is there any update on the reasons behind this? I'm another who has found this functionality extremely useful! Link to comment
