On the User shares, option min disk space, can we enter something like 10gb or 1tb and have it convert to the proper format?  Just a convenience feature

SimpleFeatures is awesome! Thanks for all the hard work. I finally got my full slackware + 5.14 machine working so now I'll get to see all the cool new features on a full linux box.

Is there anything within simplefeatures that would prevent my drives from spinning down? Since I updated from 5.12a to 5.14 and starting using simplefeatures again, my drives don't spin down. They used to spin down without a problem. I disable everything I can think of and it doesnt fix the problem.

 

All drives are set to spin down after 15 mins.

 

I thought I say someone post a command to see what is accessing your drives but i can't find it. I know it could be anything but I thought I would start here.

you installed your plex Library on /mnt/disk1/plex.

This is maybe a reason why disk1 doens't spin down.

I have issue as well that my cache drive never spinn down, have worked great before, i don't know if it have something to simplefeatures or not, but is strange.

I have only SABnzb & slimserver installed to my cach drive

I know why disk1 wouldn't spin down but it is effect all of my disks. Back before this happened, when i wasn't watching anything with plex, disk1 would even spin down. I have disabled every plugin I can think of, including Plex, and doesn't fix it. My next test I guess will reboot without simplefeatures and it's plugins.

No issues with spin-down on any of my disks.

Do you have Spinup Groups enabled?

i removed all the SimpleFeature files and rebooted. Drives are spinning down like they should. The problem was around for a couple of reboots so I know the actual reboot didn't solve it.

 

what was removed was simplefeatures, email notify, system info, s3 sleep, disk stats, disk health, and cache dirs.

 

When I can I will start installed one by one and checking spin down so I can figure out which one might be causing it.

Speeding_ant, for a feature request, a page where users can make crons that are reinstalled after reboot.

 

For instance, if I want to install a cron to run a certain script every hour, after a reboot I have to edit crontab again to add the cron back. Of course I could add this to my go script to edit the crontab, but for ease, it would be great to have a page/feature in simplefeatures to allow this.

 

I imagine a page where I can set how often to run the cron, and then either a field to type in the script or a browse button to choose where on the flash the script exists, and simplefeatures edit the crontab appropriately, re-adding crons after reboot.

my suggestion on this cron feature is to edit/display just like cPanel does - if you need a screen shot just hollar....

That notation is already supported by unRAID, e.g. you can enter 20GB as a value (see also the help file of unRAID).

Are you sure?  I don't ever remember seeing that in a release note, and all earlier versions needed it in kilobytes.

I just searched through the release notes and found no mention of that support either. Only mention of "Min free" is in the 4.* beta where min free support was added, and it states it is needed in kilobytes.

i was told in another thread it had to be entered in kilobytes, i think it is sent and as a command line param when the fuse filesystem is started, am going to search syslog and fine out, had to start finding a conversion site etc, pain, would be nice if it would take M, GB and TB etc...

Hi, I'm having a small problem with S3 sleep. My server shuts down nicely with the SimpleFeatures script, and I can restart it with a WOL signal.

However, once it starts, I can't access the webgui. I can still access unmenu, and the server through SMB and telnet.

 

If I try and restart it, using the command "/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &" (I hope thats right!), I get this in my syslog:

Noob alert!

 

Just put op a new server, all new config and trying to install the SimpleFeatures plugin.

I just can't get it to work....are there any requirements?

I have added the files to the /boot/extra directory, but I'm not seeing any changes to the main screen?

What am i missing here?

I'm on 5.14

Make sure the files are TGZ files, not TAR files. For some reason, my Mac changes the name when I download them; rename them if you have to.

Thx. Had the files renamed but must have messed up somehow. Did a download again, this time using the "save as", and that did the trick

You still have emhttp running from before you sleep and after you resume. That's why you're getting the "Address already in use". Don't start emhttp a second time if it's still running. You need to stop it first before you can restart it.

this add on is really impressive. i was blown away.

I just installed SimpleFeatures on a new build. Unraid version is 5b12a Basic. Installing went well but after pressing Health unraid main seems to have crashed, or it is taking a very long time to finish.

 

I also did just get a text listing of the menu points and no buttons.

How many disks do you have? Also what brands?

It is the free Basic Unraid version. Only 1 data disk and a parity disk. The parity dish is in fact a RAID0 volume on an ARC1200 controller.
