Hi all,

 

I am a beginner with unraid and I need your advise to have the best configuration for my array and cache.

 

My goal is to have an unraid to serve me with some VMs , some dockers and a replacement of my current Synology Nas.

 

Mainly I would like to know  how configurare the array with the following resources:

 

* A ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 Card V2 with 4 SSD 1 TB

* A pcie ssd 256 GB

* 4  Disks wd red pro 4 TB

 

I doubt what configuration will give me the best result. My first idea is to have the 3 hdd in the array, 1 hdd as parity and the 256 ssd GB as cache. But not idea how to get the best of the 4 SSDs of 1 Tb.


Looking forward to hearing your ideas.
