Updated to include new syslog.

syslog-2011-05-05.zip

Post it and we'll take a look.  A perfectly clean syslog is preferable of course, but for the short term yours might be OK.  Once you run another parity check in a month or so you can update the syslog with a clean one.

Posted syslog in first post.

The syslog looks good.  BAMF indeed ;)

This part shows disk 5 being rebuilt:

May  2 19:26:13 BAMF emhttp: writing mbr on disk 5 (/dev/sde) with partition 1 offset 63

May  2 19:26:15 BAMF kernel: md: recovery thread woken up ...
May  2 19:26:15 BAMF kernel: md: recovery thread rebuilding disk5 ...

And then here's the disk 5 rebuild completing:

May  3 04:51:25 BAMF kernel: md: sync done. time=33910sec rate=57608K/sec
May  3 04:51:25 BAMF kernel: md: recovery thread sync completion status: 0

I also don't see the parity check.  Did you run it after rebuilding disk 5?  Would you mind running another one and posting that syslog just to be sure?

Not to hijack the thread, but I just completed a parity check on pretty much the same build (850W Seasonic, with replacement of 120 mm and 80 mm fans).

I noticed some of the same errors as onthecake, but don't know if I should pay any heed.

Hope this is helpful...

Updated first post with new syslog. It looks like it has the parity check in it.

May  5 03:30:10 BAMF kernel: md: sync done. time=39130sec rate=49923K/sec

May  5 03:30:10 BAMF kernel: md: recovery thread sync completion status: 0
