Unraid v6.9.2 randomly turns off for unknown reason

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am currently running Unraid v6.9.2.  During the past few weeks my server has been randomly shutting off for no apparent reason during the wee hours of the morning (about once a week).  I have attached the most recent diagnostics file, however this is after I power on the server again, which just happened again this morning.  Hopefully someone can point me to what I should be looking at to understand why this is happening.

Thanks

Powering off is usually hardware related and most likely there won't be anything logged, but you can enable the syslog server and post that after the next time.

In the meantime check temps and that fans are working, coould also be a PSU/UPS issue.

How do I check the fans?  I don't know of a way to do this.  Also in the syslog right before the loss in power I see the following "highest disk temp is 100F, adjusting fan speed from 74 (29% @ 0rpm) to: 75 (29% @ 0rpm)".  This message repeats 3 times @ 3a in the morning.  Hopefully this helps.
