March 10, 20224 yr I am looking at building a home server for TWO main functions UNRAID and Plex Server (including transcoding for mobile devices, due to this I intend to go Intel CPU with built in GPU for hardware assisted Plex transcoding). I would like a motherboard that can handle 6+ SATA3 and at least one M.2 (for UNRAID cache). Will start out with 3 HDs and add more as my need grow (and disk prices drop). With the crazy electricity costs I would like to find an as low power CPU / Motherboard combination as possible.
