Duplicati in a container backing up the Flash

Hi

I recently had an issue with my flash drive after a power failure and lost a lot of config. I'm looking for a way to prevent this and I am already using Duplicati to backup my appdata to the cloud. I'd like to try and do the same with my flash if possible. I mapped /boot into my duplicati container but it doesn't have permission to read the directory. If there any way to change this or another way to achieve this?
