IPv4 not set

Featured Replies

Hello,

I know this topic has several discussions, but none of them seems to work for me, or links do just not work anymore.
So this is the situation:

When I normally create the USB-boot-device i can boot the stick and everything seems to be fine, but
IPv4 address: not set
IPv6 address: not set

so I found that there should be diagnostics possible
They just don't work if you are not connected.

So I changed the /config/network.cfg in that way:
USE_DHCP="no"
IPADDR="192.168.2.150"
(192.168.2.xxx because I can reach my router with that address and 150 because I think that port is free)
NETMASK="255.255.255.0"
GATEWAY="192.168.2.1"
(1, because somebody suggested that in that forum here)
BONDING="no"
BRIDGING="yes"

As I tried to boot from the stick again it seemed to work, because I get this result:

unRAID Server OS version: 6.9.2
IPv4 address: 192.168.2.150
IPv6 address: not set

UnRaid login: root
Linux 5.10.28-Unraid.
root@UnRaid: #

The problem is just, that I still can not connect to it when I use that IP-address at my laptop (which is connected to the same router)
(both my devices have just wifi if this is can be part of the problem)

I got the diagnostics file, but I can't upload it here somehow..

I am looking forward your help please..

Did you ever figure this out? Fighting the same issue now.

Similar issues (no IPv4 address) don't necessarily mean same problem.  Posting your diagnostics will tell the entire story
