Permissions on a domain joined unraid share

Featured Replies

Hi,

My unraid server is domain joined (DC's are server 2019) and ever since it joined the domain I've had troubles getting the file and share permissions right. I've followed a number of guides on how to set it up. And it all somewhat works but not flawlessly. And I find it difficult to manage, or maybe (probably) I just don't understand.

Is there a guide that clearly explains file permissions for domain joined unraid machines?

How, for instance, do I find the UID that a docker container can run as so it will access the system with the correct permissions?

Cheers,

Tom

Did you ever find a solution? I'm also having AD related permissions issues. All the forum posts I have found so far lead to dead ends, so I figured if I shake enough trees something might just fall out 🤷‍♂️
