Proxmox VE using Unraid as a NAS via NFS

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Does or has anyone managed to get Proxmox VE to use a NFS share on Unraid? Have searched forums but can't find anything other than a similar project using QNAP. (to which no replies)

If anyone has done I would appreciate any pointers you can give as what needs setting.

Thanks in anticipation

I was able to get it to use the shares (ISO and Backups), but I haven't figured out how to alter the auto folder structure that proxmox uses... I would love to just share the ISO store that I use for VM's in Unraid... And in general get rid of the TEMPLATE folder that Proxmox puts everything in.

Hi

How did you get Proxmox to use ISO and Backup? Tried many times under NFS would not have it, in my case it came down to the fact that Hetzner who I rent my server that has Proxmox VE on requires port 111 for NFS to be open. German law say's no because they do not want "portmapper" running. As far as Proxmox auto folder is concerned you will have major problems trying to disable it, mainly because it is hard coded.

Version 6 was better.
