server issues after powering down - no array or webgui

Featured Replies

Last week we lost power and I shut the server down from the webGUI before the UPS lost power... I got a read error initially from one of the hard drives after restarting it so I turned it back off.

After turning it back on later the LSI card threw BIOS errors so I went back to my previous dumb sata card and now it seems that the OS starts up and I can SSH into the box, but WebGUI isn't running at all. If I manually start nginx and php-fpm then I can login to the UI but it just gets stuck on "Array Starting"

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated :D

Reseat the cabling to the parity drive.  It's having a heart attack trying to keep itself connected

I'm guessing this is due to this line in go:

/usr/local/sbin/zenstates --c6-disable

Don't know if it's relevant or not. What happens if you remove that line? Seems like it isn't really working anyway.

I went and deleted the line and the webGui started up... I don't even remember what I was trying to do by setting that... probably did it years ago now

I think I had drive eight die, the LSI card died and one of the ports/cables in the hotswappable cage died ... migrating disks around seems to have gotten everything stable and now I'm rebuilding the failed drive and adding a second parity to help protect me as my current drives age...

Thanks for all the help!
