Best way to move network config to new 10Gbps card

Featured Replies

After using Unraid for about a month now, I decided to buy a 10Gbps network card to handle any bottlenecks on the network side.  What is the best way to move Unraid over from my 1Gbps NIC over to my new 10Gbps NIC? I'm currently using Docker containers and VMs, and want to make sure I can make this move without big disruptions. I plan on disabling the built in 1Gbps NIC from the BIOS after the move it completed.

No need, simple as put the 10G NIC be eth0 then fine.

If you haven't local concole, you need 1G NIC for remote management in first.

Oh ok! So just swap the MAC addresses in the Interface Rules?

Yes, note that, when NIC have change, which one will be eth0 is unknown.
