April 11, 20224 yr I rebooted my unraid server and now it won't completely boot. It hangs at starting samba. The weird thing is I can ping my server and telnet to my server on my local LAN. I can boot into GUI safe mode and have pulled a current diagnostics output which I have attached. Any one have any insight into what is causing this issue? hoth-diagnostics-20220411-1200.zip
April 11, 20224 yr Community Expert Setup the Syslog server in the GUI Safe mode. See here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-781601 I would suggest Mirror syslog to flash one. Then reboot the server. Then shutdown the server. (A quick push of the power switch may permit a clean shutdown. If that does not work, then force a shtdown with a five second+ push of the power switch.) Pull the flash drive and upload the syslog file in a new post. 2 hours ago, mrlionman said: I can boot into GUI safe mode and have pulled a current diagnostics output which I have attached. Is SMB working in this configuration? If it is than you can begin troubleshooting it yourself. Start by disabling the the starting the Docker on the Settings page. Perhaps, unnecessary to mention, but make sure all plugins and Dockers are up-to-date...
April 11, 20224 yr Author On the recommendation from another thread, I removed the NVIDIA driver and everything booted ok. Now I have reinstalled NVIDIA and we are back and working. Curious why removing NVIDIA resolved the issue?
