ext portable drives

I'm looking to getting an ext portable drive just to carry and play movies off of it.  I'm looking at just a drive that uses an USB cord and no ext power plug.  Has anyone tried these and does it play well w/ no suttering.

    I've got this one and it works like a dream.  Use it mostly for my music library and some portable apps that I take to work but will also play 1080p mkvs off of it and have never had a problem.
