juancpa
Hi all: After using unraid as my home media server (Basic), I just purchase a Pro edition, to store the files from my work. I'm trying to join the active directory, from a SBS 2003, but so far... The ipconfig of the SBS 2003: Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : colt-server2 Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : coltEngineeringCorp.local Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Unknown IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : Yes WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : Yes DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : coltEngineeringCorp.local My unraid settings: AD domain: colt-server2.coltengineeringcorp AD account login: Administrator AD account password: (the password of the administrator of the SBS 2003 server) The result: AD join status: Not joined Please, help!!!!! :'( Quote Link to comment
juancpa
by the way, I have tried the smb-extra.conf file trick, with the following lines: realm = coltengineeringcorp no luck Quote Link to comment
mgworek
Do the times match on the servers? My apple server gets kicked off the domain if the time gets more then 5 minutes off from the AD Server time. I have not tried my box yet but I will try to join it to my domain here at work and see what happens. Quote Link to comment
juancpa
THANK YOU for your reply!!! Unfortunately, the difference is less than 1 minute.... Any other clue? Quote Link to comment
Zeron
Your AD domain setting is wrong. Quote Link to comment
juancpa
Thanks Zeron; but so far, no luck...... I have tried the following, as the AD domain: colt-server2.ColtEngineeringCorp.local colt-server2.coltengineeringcorp.local colt-server2.coltEngineeringCorp colt-server2 coltEngineeringCorp colt-server2.colteng.local colt-server2.colteng colteng After all this, the only outcome was that if I look on "My Network Places" on any pc, the unraid server is listed under the "colteng" domain. That is the Domain Name (pre windows 2000) of my ColtEngineeringCorp.local domain (SBS 2003)...but no active domain interaction. The Active Directory integration was the main reason to purchase the Pro Licence, since this server is gona be used to store employee files. I have my boss on top of me for this.... Any clue? Anyone? Is there any way of getting support from Lime Tech? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
Zeron
Your AD domain should be: ColtEngineeringCorp.local Quote Link to comment
