Finally dug into figuring out why watchlist syncs weren't working today and found this thread. Hoping for a fix soon without rolling back Plex. Thanks for your help!

ok i have put in a temporary hack that should fix it (shamelessly stolen from the issue), please pull down and let me know.

Just updated my container and seems my config was removed, had to re-do the initial setup and configure everything again.

hmm that is highly unlikely to be related to the change i made, as i am altering internal overseerr files inside the container, this change does not alter anything on /config whatsoever, so somethig else is going on there, have you set the cache share to cache-only?.

EDIT - im running overseerr too, upgraded and i see the same initial setup screen, i can only assume the bump in version is a breaking change requiring re-configuration.

I have just updated and same thing my entire settings have been wiped out.

ok i see the issue and ive fixed it, please pull down the latest image at your convienience, this will re-establish your previous configuration.

Edit: I think its resolved for now. I removed it + reinstalled the app. Still nothing and same issue.

After some time I hit refresh and it seems to be loading now.

I saw an update available and blindly updated and now i can't access overseer anymore. Im very lost as to what to do, can someone please help me roll back to previous version or something? or is there a fix. thank you

thanks. all good now!

FYI I was having connection issues to the rsync servers. It seems only Asia is ping-able. I had to disable region(Router) blocking to get the update to proceed on my network. I could not contact Europe or America on cell or home network. Just posting in case someone has the same issue. I got lucky enough to pull the logs before it kept force closing. It was not updating the log file.

The Wishlist is now fixed with the update. Thanks a lot for your work!

Similar to other users with an old version, I'm getting a login issue with the current version of this container. All versions have run just fine for more than a year now. Plex.tv sees the login and authenticates it (I see it in my account), but the Overseer app stays stuck at the login page and I get this in the logs:

Scan interrupted {"errorMessage":"Permission denied even after attempted authentication :( Wrong username and/or password maybe?"}

It stays stuck on the login page after authentication and I am prompted to close the window.

I saw "DNS issue" regarding this earlier in the thread. I recently started hosting a Technitium container but I don't think that would be the issue. I tried logging in on a device that is using my ISP's DNS with the same result.

Some more information I'll add: I was logged in before all of this, as I was troubleshooting why SuggestArr stopped working, none of the suggestions I got notifications for were in my Overseerr. I logged out of Overseer to authenticate with my new password because of the recent data breech. And now I'm stuck on the login page. This seems to be affecting SuggestArr as well, but this is possibly because it cannot connect to Overseerr.

I've reinstalled the container after removing. Tried deleting the folder in appdata, and that did not fix the issue so I restored the backup.

Update: I tried deleting perms.txt, no change.

Update 2: UGH IT JUST STARTED WORKING. Trying a Fourth browser on a third machine after leaving it off overnight and it authenticated correctly. Maybe some service was down that came back up over that time. I have no idea but it just behaved normally.

Problem has gone away for some unknown reason

I'm having issues with this Overseerr container communicating with the binhex Sonarr container properly. Everything works just fine with Radarr and my settings for Sonarr are identical (aside from a different IP address and specifying tv shows instead of movies) so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Sonarr is running on the default port. The error message I'm getting is:

{ "errorMessage": "Request failed with status code 400",
"options": {
"languageProfileId": -1,
"monitored": true,
"profileId": -1,
"rootFolderPath": "/media/tv",
"searchNow": true,
"seasonFolder": true,
"seasons": [ 1 ],
"seriesType": "standard",
"tags": [],
"title": "Undeclared",
"tvdbid": 73557 },
"response": [ {
"attemptedValue": -1,
"errorCode": "GreaterThanValidator",
"errorMessage": "'Quality Profile Id' must be greater than '0'.",
"formattedMessageArguments": [],
"formattedMessagePlaceholderValues": {
"comparisonProperty": "",
"comparisonValue": 0,
"propertyName": "Quality Profile Id",
"propertyValue": -1 },
"propertyName": "QualityProfileId",
"severity": "error" } ] }

I suspect there's an issue with my Sonarr configuration and if so I'll just scoot over to that thread since I'm also having issues with that.

This happened again to me just now. Pulled the latest tag and seemed to have lost all configuration.

Ughh! i see the new issue, Overseerr dev's have now introduced a symlink which then interferes with the symlink i am putting in place to redirect to /config/overseerr, its fixed, please pull down the latest image.

@binhex Will you be merging your Overseerr container with Seerr, or have an pointers for seamlessly migrating?

I will create a seperate docker image, you can then shutdown overseerr container, start defining the new container config for seerr and point it at your existing overseerr config path and you should be set (assuming seerr is compatible with overseerr configs)

I am having issues with Tailscale and this container. It doesn't happen on other containers I have that also use Tailscale, so I decided to post here for that reason. Here is what I am seeing in the logs:

Seems odd, so I looked up the domain names and I get an NXDOMAIN response from each. I get this response from my internal DNS, which has an upstream of Cloudflare. I nslookup direct to Cloudflare, Google and Quad9 from the container CLI and they all return NXDOMAIN. So, on its face, it seems like an issue for pkgbuild.com, but I am wondering if these DNS entries are just old and need an update of some sort. Anyway, thanks for your time!

Last nights update fixed it. Thanks!

I saw that Seerr has officially launched. Are we good to go to change the repo on the Overseerr container? Any changes need to be made?

I just did this migration. Made a backup copy of my appdata for Overseerr just in case, edited my container and changed the repository to binhex/arch-seerr, let it start up, stopped it, copied everything from appdata\binhex-overseerr\overseerr into the newly created seerr folder, started the container back up and I was in business.

So this worked for me as well. I've tried about 10 other ways. But I finally got it going. Thanks!
