April 21, 20224 yr Hello people, Still got some problems with my rig. After a few hours, all disks are gone, even boot drive and cache. Docker containers are still running, like reverse proxy still works.
April 21, 20224 yr Author cant get them, need to do a force shutdown do make system work again., here the diagnostics. AMD Ryzen 9 3950x. Typical Idle power is set. also ram to normal values maxisnas-diagnostics-20220421-1859.zip
April 21, 20224 yr Community Expert Apr 21 18:59:16 MaxisNAS kernel: BTRFS info (device sdm1): bdev /dev/sdm1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 192445355, gen 0 Btrfs is detecting a lot of data corruption, you should run memtest, if these are old errors you should run a scrub, delete any corrupt files and reset the stats.
April 22, 20224 yr Author this is the error which i got. cant get diagnostics out of it, fixed the cache partition with xfs check
April 22, 20224 yr Author will do today. one question: if i would change to ecc ram, would it be better with file corruption and general stability? AMD does work with it right?
April 22, 20224 yr Community Expert ECC is always better for system stability/data integrity, not sure about ECC support with Ryzen, some conflicting reports from what I've read, I only use Intel hardware for Unraid so never really looked into it.
April 22, 20224 yr Author yea switched from an old intel xeon 1230 to this 16 core beast. still ryzen is a bit difficult with compatibility i see
