Unraid GPU Passthrough failing after Hardware change

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

i recently changed my Unraid Server Hadware from a Desktop PC (Intel i5-46XX CPU 24GB DDR3 RAM) to a HP DL380 GEN9 with a Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4 128GB DDR4-ECC RAM.

After the change the GPU Passthrough fails everytime. I tried different things like creating a new VM, different .roms for the GPU, Q35, different VM setups and some more.

When i try to start the VM with a .rom, i cant see anything (black screen) but when i am starting the VM without a .rom the screen shows the boot screen of Windows but reboots everytime till it gets to the repair screen but not booting into Windows directly. I tried to delete drivers but without success.

The GPU (MSI GT730 same as before) shows up in System Devices with seperate group/audio. When two GPUs are installed only one shows up (the other one is a ASUS GT710).

I hope there is anyone who can help me out.(Sorry for my bad english)

I uploaded diagnaostics, VM setup, system devices to GDrive

EDIT: even with a new VM, after installing the driver the VM crashes/reboots. I am able to get into Windows but after installing driver it crashes

Thanks for replying.

I am sorry it was the "Windows 10 Büro #1" VM.

I got it solved. It was the standart nvidia 43 error.

By editing the vbios i got it fixed.
