December 27, 200718 yr Topic says it all. If I build a 3 Hard Drive array with the trial version of unraid, and decide to upgrade to the Pro version, can this be done without starting from scratch? Is there a guide on how to do this?
December 27, 200718 yr It is a simple and transparent. All you do is save one file to your flash and shutdown/restart the server ... and the server will come up as the Pro version.
December 28, 200718 yr How about upgrading from trial to pro if the pro will be on a new flash drive? I'm currently running pro on a cheap flash drive I had laying around. When I upgrade I'll want to couple the pro key with something of high quality since the key can't be transferred between flash drives if the flash drive goes bad.
December 28, 200718 yr I found the wiki and looked through the howto section and didn't see anything specific, though this entry seems close. http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Backing-up_%27config/super.dat%27_and_%27config/disk.cfg%27_Files. I don't want to have to parity check if I don't have to.
December 28, 200718 yr Simply format your new flash drive, run syslinux on it, and copy all the files from your old flash to the new one and boot it up. No parity check should be needed. After it boots up, copy the GUID of your flash as displayed in the web page and use it to register. When you get the e-mail in return, simply save the file attached in the e-mail to the flash, and when you reboot the server with that flash, you will have the working Pro version. No parity check should be needed.
