May 14, 201115 yr I have been having issues with my movie server running 4.5.6. It has seemed that the last 4 drives in my Norco have been having issues like slow writes and preclear issues. This was never an issue before and I think I have the problem solved. I replaced the reverse breakout cable and things seem to be better. Could someone pls give me their opinion on my syslog and let me know if they see anything glaring. Tks Norco 4224 case PSU Corsair TX650W ASUS M4A785TO-V EVO AMD processor 4gb memory 2 - Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 for first 16 drives remaining drives and parity drive via reverse breakout to motherboard syslog-2011-05-14.txt
May 15, 201115 yr Syslog looks healthy to me. By the way, you should always have your parity drive and cache drive (if used) connected to one of the motherboard ports if possible. You mentioned that you used your SASLP cards for your first 16 slots, so I figured your parity drive was probably on one of those.
May 15, 201115 yr Author Thanks, parity is hooked up to the motherboard as it is the last drive in the system.
