Change External Hard Drive File System

Featured Replies

Hi, I am on unraid 6.9.2.  I recently attached an external ssd drive via usb and it shows up under unassigned devices.  The file system shows as exfat.  I want to change it to xfs.  How do I do that?

I could have sworn there was an option before to format the drive and select a file system, however, I can't seem to find it anymore.

Make sure destructive mode is enable in the UD plugin settings, then click on the red x to delete current partition and you'll be able to re-format.

P.S. next time please use the existing plugin support thread.

Thanks and sorry, I just thought formatting in general was part of unraid.  I didn't realize my question was related to the UD plugin.  I will post any follow up questions in there.  Thanks again.
