jmztaylor
I installed Ubuntu Server in a VM with 8 cores and 8 GBs of RAM and when doing anything via the VNC console or SSH its like its lagging. More like the network is lagging. But thats def not what the issue is. The disk image is on the cache pool and htop in the VM is showing nearly 0 usage and Unraid dashboard shows little usage also. Nothing is happening on the cache pool while running this VM. I am just not sure how to troubleshoot this outside of posting here. tower-diagnostics-20220509-1130.zip Quote Link to comment
jmztaylor
As a test, I installed a USB ethernet adapter and passed it through to the VM. And the problem goes away. So there is something odd with the Unraid network. Connecting to unraid server via SSH does not have this issue. It is just VMs. Quote Link to comment
ghost82
It could be specific to virtio-net driver (and maybe virtio) and ubuntu 20/outdated qemu. Either update unraid to the latest 6.10 RC, or change the network type, (virtio or e1000-82545em) Quote Link to comment
