Gmail display name

Featured Replies

When I send a test email from the gmail web interface to myself, the display name is correctly "unRAID Server". But, when I send the email from the unRAID box it just uses the email address instead of the display name "unRAID Server" like I'd prefer. I tried changing the domain and the re-write domain options in the mail script setup but nothing worked. Is there a way for this to work, or are we stuck with it using the email address as the name? I'm on 4.7, unMenu, and ssmtp.2.62.

How are you testing to yourself and it says "unRAID Server"? Did you create an email address just for unRAID? I tried using Gmails ability to "tag" emails with a '+' sign appended to my email (e.g. [email protected]) but still arrives as empty or root.

If you have unMenu installed, you can install additional packages. Also, there's a page where you can click a button to send a test email to the saved email address.

I created a gmail account just for the server to use.
