Potential new user questions for RAID 6

Featured Replies

I'm looking at jumping into this NAS world.  I think that RAID 6 is where I want to go (RAID 0 has already saved me at least twice in my professional life).  So if I go that route can you expand beyond the minimum 4 drives later?  If so, I'd assume my 2 parity drives are what limits the size of future drives.  Thanks in advance.

Unraid does not support traditional RAID modes in its main array so RAID6 is not an option.

You can learn more about how Unraid uses its parity in the Online documentation.
