I recently purchased a Seagate Exos X20 ST20000NM002D 512E/4KN SAS 12Gb/s 20TB for my parity Drive. this is a SAS3 drive. Do i need to do anything special for formatting SAS drive?

    There is no formatting for Parity drive as there is no file system.

    I'd say that if the drive is seen by Unraid, you should be good to go.
