Unstable after swapping hardware. Need help diagnosing.

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm in need of some help trying to figure out what is causing the "Machine Check Events detected on your server" that is showing up with the Fix Common Problems plugin.

I recently swapped hardware, so if I can't resolve the issue I may just revert back.

- Things changed - Swapped CPU/Motherboard/RAM; Removed expansion card & GPU.

Current Setup:

Unraid Version: 6.9.2

CPU: Intel i3-10400

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z590 VISION D
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16)

PSU: Corsair 550w

Old Hardware:

CPU: Intel G4560

Motherboard: MSI C236M WORKSTATION

Memory: SK 2133 ECC (I forget what model)

Addon Card: Generic PCI SATA Expansion card

GPU: Quadro P400

I understand I probably have more issues, but I first need a starting point.

Server boots with the Machine Check Events issue, can work fine for a few days but then will become unresponsive and requires a hard reboot. Was not an issue before the swap in hardware. When I first swapped, the motherboard would not boot into my original USB with Unraid, but after messing around with the BIOS I finally got it set up. Unsure if that could be related.

Please advise on the next steps I should take. I've attached my diagnostics but am unable to provide anything from right before the server becomes unresponsive.

Thanks

Could be this issue:

Also a good idea to run memtest.
