all unraid domains moved from array disks to cache disk

Featured Replies

hello, I recently had a power outage and my unraid server went down, now instead of my vms being on the array disks, they are only on the cache disk. my config is:

3 2TB drives (two for array, one for parity)

1 500GB ssd for one of the high usage vm's

1 800GB sun f80 as a cache disk

currently, i can't get the vm that uses the 500 GB ssd to boot, as it says that the vdisk is not found (it is manually set to use the 500 GB ssd as the location for it's vdisk)

thanks in advance for your help.

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you post your systems diagnostic's zip file

If the vdisks were in the 'domains' share then this is set with

shareUseCache="prefer"

which meant you WANT the files on the cache, and if mover finds them on the array it should move them to the cache (space permitting).

You also do not have a Minimum free Space set for the cache, and it is a good idea to have this set to be at last the size of largest file you expect to copy there in normal use at it is not unusual for corruption to occur if is gets completely full.
