AMD Athlon 3000G Unsupported

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has been brought up a thousand times already but I am now stuck.

I have a Athlon 3000G with a Aorus B450 Elite and keep getting CPU is unsupported.

SVM Enabled, Global C States disabled.

What am I missing here. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Where do you see that? You might need a BIOS update.

It runs through the Unraid boot sequence and then just stops at "CPU is Unsupported" so BIOS is fine Did all the Unraid pre reqs etc. It's a brand new CPU so confused.

And the CPU is identified correctly in the board BIOS?

It is yes, everything looks good. There must be a setting I'm missing somewhere.

Strange, if you're booting v6.9.2 try v6.10.0 or vice-versa.

A photo of the screen when it stops might also give some clues.

Can you boot any other OS on this hardware?

I have booted Win 10 and Win server 2016 setup drive and formatted the drives

Edit: Win 10 was full OS on one of the drives so just to desktop and everything was detected perfectly

I think the CPU is unsupported is for the mcelog daemon, does the boot process not continue past that point?

How long have you waited after that message appears to see if it finishes booting?

I left it a while and it went to just a blinking curser for quite a while then it said waiting for safe shutdown or something to that effect. So effectively, that's where it ends.

Have you never successfully booted Unraid on this hardware?

Did you try this?

Nope, literally everything else boots, Windows, Ubuntu, POP OS, TrueNAS. Not a single issue across the board but I REALLY would like to run Unraid again. I already have a standard licenced I used about 2 years ago but I was testing other things so want to get back to it, Previously I had Unraid on a Dell R510. Worked great

Which mode are you trying to boot into? Standard or GUI, have you tried safe mode?

When you have flashing cursor.

Does Pressing CTRL+ALT+F1 this should bring you back to the command line?
