6.1.0 Houston we have a problem

Featured Replies

I ran the upgrade this morning thru the webui Update OS - big mistake.

Flash Drive update completed and prompted for a reboot.  Did the reboot but server not available.

It's not that I can't login to the WebUI, it is not even on the network.  What do I do now?

I haven't touched anything on my server it has been fine for months, finding it hard to believe that there is some sort of hardware failure after the reboot.

If you have a monitor connected or IPMI please post a photo/ screenshot of what's showing there.

Without a directly attached keyboard/monitor then it is going to be difficult to diagnose this issue.

If that would be hard to arrange it might be worth trying this to see if it hel-s.

It is a Dell Server with 64GB.

Yes that was the problem.  Surprised that this got past RC status.

Not enough people tried the RC's, so the problem didn't surface.

When you have thousands of different hardware combo's available, it's hard to find issues that only effect a specific subset.

Also not clear it could be fixed, since from what I understand it's a Dell issue, related to how they use virtualization that conflicts with Linux.
