May 29, 20224 yr Hi there, New Unraid user here; Let me start with the specs so that everyone is aware; - Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming Wifi II - CPU: Ryzen 5950X - GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce 3080 OC with LHR - RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 Mhz - SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB. - Storage: 4x Samsung Seagate Exos 16TB. So; the goal is to create an Unraid serve that hosts a NAS for storage of video files and then virtualise Windows 11 to use for video editing and a bit of gaming. So I prepare the USB stick with the Unraid USB Creator, put it in the machine and I select it as the primary boot drive. It boots into Unraid, and it goes through the whole process and then I type in the "root". Then I restart the system, to select Unraid GUI and it goes through the whole process again, but I hangs on the MCE-LOG Deamon, followed by CPU is unsupported. Troubleshooting that message in the bios I have adjusted the following; - Enables SVM (enabling VM's) - Enabled IOMMU's. - Set Power Supply Idle Control to Typical Current Idle - Disabled C-States. Then reboot again and it goes through whole process again; CPU is unsupported shows up but then continues. Then I get a blank black screen with a white underscore blinking in the top left corner, and that is where it is at. I have already updated the BIOS to the most recent stable version, and have also tested if the hardware works by installing Windows natively on the SSD. That all works fine, so hardware should be okay. I am completely lost and as a new user this is quite frustrating. I hope someone here can help point me in the right direction to get this to work. Thank you in advance.
May 29, 20224 yr Community Expert If you boot in non-gui mode can you get to the login prompt? If so logging in and using the diagnostics command will create a zip file in the logs folder on the flash drive that you can then post so we can see both details of your configuration plus information on what is happening.
