Restore from old backup but had new drive since last backup

Featured Replies

I recently had usb failure and with it all the content on it. i have a backup with My Servers but its a little older and i have added a drive since that backup was made. now that i have booted up from the older backup, whenever i assign the new drive to the array, it warns me that the drive is going to be overwritten. is there a way i can add the drive back to the array without it being overwritten? i have 4 drives and 1 of them are used in parity. there were 3 drives when the backup was made and now there are 4.

thanks

You can do a new config then check "parity is already valid" before array start.
