System Log is filling up / Memory 100% used

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I logged into my server this afternoon after starting some tasks with Tdarr (video transcoding) last night and saw that my CPU, RAM, and System Logs were at 100%.

I stopped all my docker containers and the CPU / RAM went down to ~0 but the system log was still 100%

I ran a test for "Fix Common Problems" and saw that "out of memory" and "system log is full" were the errors.

It said I should create a post here and show my system logs.

This file is "syslog.1"

It would seem I should turn off the bluetooth feature in my motherboard, but I'm not sure about these other errors.

delete long syslog so we can get more useful diagnostics zip

I deleted that wall of text.

Attach diagnostics zip to your NEXT post in this thread.

You should the disable the Bluetooth module on the board BIOS, that's at least one of the things spamming the log.

Hello all,

Attached is my diagnostics. I sent the raw text of the logs originally - apologies, I couldn't find how to attach a file.

We can see in my logs that the bluetooth is causing an issue, but it seems a USB system is also.

I've now timed it and my logs fill about every 2 days or so.

Post new diags after disabling the Bluetooth module, and next time please post the original zip.

If it seems to you that Diagnostics has downloaded lots of folders and files it's because your browser automatically opens ZIP files. Just get the single zip file wherever it is downloaded and attach without any changes. No need to rar anything and nobody should have to install rar software to help you.
