Issues trying to provision certificate

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I am fairly new to unRaid and was trying to provision a certificate using the built-in provisioning tool, however I keep on receiving the message: "Your router or DNS provider has DNS rebinding protection enabled...", I have a BT Smart Hub router and run DNS through a pihole docker on unRaid.

I have also tried to use these guides:

https://www.thesmarthomebook.com/2021/04/07/unraid-6-9-1-my-servers-plugin-fixing-the-dns-rebind-issue-and-access-over-openvpn-wireguard/

https://www.spxlabs.com/blog/2020/12/30/workaround-for-dns-rebinding-protection-on-the-udm-pro-and-unraid-ssl-provisioning

(Excluding the information about changing the UniFi OS)

Any help would be appreciated.

Try a Google search for "YourRouterName disable DNS Rebinding"

If your router doesn't let you disable that feature there isn't anything we can do to get around it, you won't be able to use the myunraid.net SSL certificate for local access to your server.

But one cool thing about Unraid 6.10 is that you can still use the certificate for My Servers Remote Access, if that was your goal:
