If I commit a change to the template in my repo, does the app automatically gets an update notification?

Noob here.

 

Just got my first application template published, and I wonder if there's something like ports I need to add to the template, do I just commit change to the file in the GitHub repository and the app in CA gets update automatically, or shall I DM the moderator each time it gets an update?

 

I know the question might has already been asked, but I attempted google it and found no results. So sorry if the question is repeated, just leave a link to the original post pls :)
