Coming from hardward RAID, I'm so confused! How would I install Window OS on the array?

Featured Replies

I want to quit RAID cards but after learning how unraid works I don't see anyone talking about installing their OS on unraid (not a VM). Is this even possible? I want my host OS to be on the array with parity.

Unraid IS the host OS. You can install a Windows VM on the Unraid host.

😳🤯 Why then are "Virtual Machines" referenced as a "feature". What computer doesn't need this "feature" ??

Unraid is a NAS operating system which has many features, including hosting VMs and dockers.
