[6.10.2] Why does parity check pause randomly throughout the day?

Featured Replies

I am running a parity check and UNRAID randomly pauses the activity randomly.  It did it a second time just now.

Why would UNRAID do this?

I do have PARITY CHECK TUNING set up but the schedule doesn't even start until the first week of next month.  I'm doing a manual check before I swap SATA cards.

It's been pausing randomly for 2 days now.image.thumb.png.f3958bc447f361c5f32244ddd4977f0b.png

You should ask in the parity check tuning plugin support thread, stock Unraid will never pause a check on its own.

And post a screenshot of the Parity Check Tuning settings.

It does, I use that without parity check tuning plugin and my monthly parity check is paused during the day and takes a couple of nights to complete.

As far as I know this only applies to scheduled checks - not manual ones.

The parity Check Tuning plugin can pause manual checks as well as long as it’s settings say to do this.   As was mentioned earlier a screenshot of the Parity Check Tuning settings (or posting its .cfg file from its folder on the flash) would allow for checking how the plugin has been configured.
