Upgrade 6.9 > 6.10 Login issue

I upgraded from 6.9 to 6.10 and now im presented with a login script. My root user doesnt have a password so im not sure how to login to my dashboard now. I can access the server via ssh

Have you tried simply pressing enter with user=root and password blank?   As part of tightening security it is now mandatory to have a password on the root user.

Thank you both, i ended up doing a passwd and creating a password that way, worked fine after that.

Not sure what the issue was, but keep in mind that the password you set by running "passwd" will not persist across reboots.

 

It sounds like you have access to the webgui now, so be sure to go to the Users page and set a password for root using the webgui. Changes mae there will persist.

you were right, i rebooted and the password was reset, So i did passwd to get into UI again and updated the password in the users tab, works fine now. Thank you
