Drive no longer mounts

Featured Replies

Woke up, booted with plans to build parity

disk2 keeps giving read errors until it became unmountable

in maintenance mode, xfs_repair -n says "fatal error --i/o error"

and now it turned into the Ø array and I don't know anymore

is this a PSU problem?

Do you have some reason to think so? Could be. Some problem communicating with disk.

Shutdown, check all connections, SATA and power, including splitters.

tried that beforehand and didn't work, and now it does? Weird.

Thankfully the files are intact.

sadly, now the parity drive is missing although it was detected by my sata hba controller on boot. Again did the shutdown and cable check, still nothing. Do I try again?

Check all connections, all disks, both ends, SATA and power, including splitters. Try again and post new diagnostics.

Are you bundling your cables? Don't. Each connector must sit squarely on the connection, with no tension on the cable that might cause it to move.
