I have not yet paid attention to the types of movies that is giving me problem, but most I play recently are Blue Ray type. I just checked on the main page and see this: parity ST31500341AS_9VS2FE7A 27°C 1,465,138,552 - 5,956,131 23,582 0 disk1 WDC_WD10EACS-00Z_WD-WCASJ1473514 26°C 976,762,552 4,643,064 3,525,402 3,083 0 disk2 WDC_WD10EACS-00Z_WD-WCASJ1515762 26°C 976,762,552 151,552 3,242,239 5,118 0 disk3 WDC_WD10EACS-00Z_WD-WCASJ1471235 26°C 976,762,552 72 3,562,529 2,377 0 disk4 WDC_WD1002FBYS-0_WD-WMATV7233794 28°C 976,762,552 558,913,680 4,428,638 13,216 0 Could that low disk space on a couple of the drives be a problem? May 24, 201115 yr Please post a syslog. For just reading, I don't believe that low free space would be any problem. For writing it certainly can.
May 24, 201115 yr Author I'll do some research and figure out how to get teh syslog, and post it. FYI...I did just do a reboot of the system, and for the moment anyway, it is playing a movie well. [EDIT] Found info in the WIKI about the syslog, but it said to capture before rebooting when having problems. So, I will hold off for a while, and when this happens again, I'll capture the syslog and post.
May 24, 201115 yr Great. You might also want to install the Powerdown script, as it will automatically save a copy of your syslog to your flash drive on every power down (normally the syslog is lost when you powerdown or reboot). It can be very helpful in troubleshooting intermittent problems.
