Support for Minecraft server docker

Application: Minecraft

Application Site: https://www.minecraft.net

Docker Hub: https://hub.docker.com/r/fithwum/minecraft/

Github: https://github.com/fithwum/minecraft/

This is a simple Minecraft server, the default tag will be vanilla but you can select from testing or fabric as well if you want.

I am working on a forge version as well

Please post any questions/issues relating to this docker you have in this thread.

EDIT: I have changed the minecraft templates and removed the minecraft-fabric template to update for the new fabric tag simply change it to fithwum/minecraft:fabric and it will update no problem

  • I have pushed out an update that will now move the old server jar to the old server versions folder

  • if you are useing an android client you will not be able to connect because you are running bedrock and my dockers are all java

  • it seems that for right now this is not possible as starting with version 1.20.5 of minecraft it now requires java 21 and at this time it is not available on linux except for unstable testing.

I changed the tag to 1.19.4 as it was set to .3 and it redownloaded a package but when I load my client the server is still showing as 1.19.3.
Will this be updated?

Edit: Sorry, this is for the Fabric server.

I fixed this.

For some reason even though I changed the tag and it downloaded 1.19.4 it was still loading the 1.19.3 server. I went into my cache and the .jar for 1.19.3 was still there. I deleted it leaving only 1.19.4 and it now loaded the correct server.

Hello

I am trying to connect to your docker image and I just can not.

I get erroir Unable to connect to world.

I have tried 2 other MC docker images and all of them fail to connect form my android phone.

Clearly I am doing something wrong here, but I have no idea.

Oh my goodness.  All this time I could never get it to work was because I had the wrong version.

thank you very much.

All tags only show server 1.19.3 when booted

  • Author

I am not getting this problem.

can you put up a screenshot of this?

Is there a way to connect to minecraft rcon? I would need to make adjustments without starting the game. If will be added a webui for the console it would be great.

there is a settings file you can change but to change something like gamerules the server needs to be running

I am unable to install any mods for this fabric loader version.

right in the log it is telling you that you are missing parts that the mods need ether that or you have the wrong mo versions

I meant that I will not turn on the game on the PC, the server would run normally and I want to edit the rules or communicate in chat while the server is running.

I suppose I would have to make an adjustment in container, where I would have to remap the port from the container and then connect to it as rcon.

  • Author

you dont need to edit the container to use rcon just set it up in the settings file then connect with something like putty and that should work. as far as direct server consol access i am working on a fix for that as soon as i have time

How do i make it so the docker app downloads a different version of fabric and a different version of fabric loader, the docker comes with 0.14.22 of both but i need 0.14.23.

pushed out an update to the latest fabric version

After uninstalling and installing, deleting all cache, it seems the fabric version is still 0.14.22

  • Author

my bad pushed out wrong branch it is now corrected

In new update i cannot start server, its constantly rewriting eula to false.

  • Author

fixing now update will go out as soon as the builds are done. i have also updated the template for the fabric docker that allows for changing the fabric loader version yourself

simply add

variable

key: FABRIC_VERSION

value: whatever fabric version you wish to use (default 0.14.24)
