June 21, 20224 yr I have two Unraid servers (1 Primary & 1 Offsite Backup) connected by Wireguard. With a script utilizing the User Scripts plugin, I run backups from Primary to Offsite via ssh. Every once and a while, the backups fail. Each time I get a failure notice, when I run a script command from terminal, ssh asks me to confirm "Are you sure you want to continue connecting." Once I confirm by typing "yes" the backup script works without a problem. I cannot figure out why ssh is asking for reconfirmation and how I get around this. Thoughts?

June 21, 20224 yr Author Just today I had to renew the "approval" for the ssh key. Once I said "yes" I ran the rsync backup without any hesitation. Just now I restarted my Primary Unraid server, ran the rsync command and had to confirm "approval" again. So would I be right to say that ssh keys are not persistent over reboot? How do I fix this?
June 22, 20224 yr Author To clarify, I do not know if the ssh key needs to be re-approved any other time, but I can confirm that I do have to confirm it after a restart of the Primary Unraid server.
